GERTRUDE MATILDA JORDAN LOVING
Gertrude Matilda Jordan Loving, descendent of an Yokohl Valley, Tulare County, California pioneer family, died on February 16, 2009 in Arlington, Oregon, at the age of 96 years.
Gertrude Jordan was born December 28, 1912 in Yokohl Valley, the 13 th child of James Buchanan Jordan and Ellener Ann Myers. Gertrude was the last surving member of the James Buchanan and Ellener Ann Myers Jordan family.
Gertrude was the great-granddaughter of early California pioneers Captain John Jordan, Joseph Myers and John Fancher. She was raised on the Jordan Ranch in the Yokohl Valley. She attended the Yokohl School that was across the road from the Jordan Ranch.
William Earl Loving and Gertrude were married in Hanford California, on June 6, 1931 and resided in Dinuba, where their 3 children William Jordan, Wilma Earlene and Duane Earl, were born.
They resided in the stated of Washington for most of their lives.
