1. When Turner died, he requested that 'Marcellus Jordan, Gulielmus Smith, and Frederick Wiggins should divide the estate until his wife's death, then it was to be given to his children. Turner land was sold to Philemon Hawkins on Oct 19, 1809 by Archibald Jordan. Source: Abstracts of the Wills and Estate Records of Granville Co, NC 1746-1808. It reads-Deposition of Marcellas Jordan and Frederick Wiggins that Turner Jordan is dead, that he died at 12 o'clock last night, that he asked that his estate be given to his wife, Nancy and his four children, and that his father, Arthur Jordan should have his young mare and that Marcellas Jordan, Gulielmus Smith, and Frederick Wiggins were to divide estate when wife was dead to his children Jan 8, 1781-proved Aug. 1781. Turner Jordan was the bondsman for Sarah Smith's (Sister in law) marriage to James Frederick Wiggins.
