     As we are about to go to press the sad news reaches us that Mr. Moses Neal, father of Mrs. J.B. Charles, died at his daughter's home in this city where he was visiting, from a stroke of paralysis at 6 o'clock last night.
     Mr. Neal was a member of the Chandler Hardware Company and was one of thepioneers of this territory. His former home was in Hombolt, Kansas. He came to what is now Oklahoma a good many years ago, having been appointed Indian Agent of the Sacs and Foxes under Cleavland's first administration. Later he was appointed allotting agent of the Kickapoos and after his term expired he ws made allotting agent of the arapahoes and Cheyennes. He filled his position with great integrity.
     Deceased leaves a wife and six children all of whom are living. They are Monroe Neal at Tulsa, I.T., Thomas Neas (District Clerk) at Guthrie, Fred Neal of Chanlder, Mrs. J.B. Charles of this city and Geary Neal in Kansas.
     Mr. Neal was a high degree Mason and the funeral will be conducted under the auspices of that order. The remains will be taken to Oklahoma City for interment. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the entire community.
