In our database of Illinois Primitive Baptist members, I have the
names of James, John, Joseph and Levi Jordan who were in Illinois at an
early date. I don't have much info on them, although I believe I have a
note that Joseph may have been one of the first settlers in Franklin Co.
Levi and James were both members of the Okaw Church near Shelbyville.
Joseph was a charter member of the church at Webb's Prairie which my Webb
ancestors helped establish.

I have had an interesting experience with this Jordan line.
Arthur Jordan and Elizabeth Bevin's daughter Elizabeth Jordan md a
Washington......and had a son Arthur Washington.
Well it was Richard Washington and he was the son of Col John Washington and
his brother Lawerence Washington
is the father to Augustine Washington and his son was George Washington the
first President of the USA
I have the line going on back to Edward I King of England.

found it as I was taking my mothers line back one generation at a time and
found myself in the Dutch- Colonies of NY..... one more interesting tidbit
before I bore you to death.
Jacobus Jillis Van Vorst is the s/o Jillis Jacobus Van Vorst and Elizabeth
Van Eps
he is the s/o Jacobus Gerritse Van Vorst and Sara Jillis Fonda
and her brother is the ancestor of actor Henry Fonda the actor.
I enjoyed looking at the links that you sent and reading what Harley Buntin
Neal had written about the Jordan family.
It just goes to show that it is all relative....we are are related...I always
say we all had an ancestor that walked off the ARK
