George Washington was the first President of the United States of America. A
lot of information can be found on him. He also was a very good friend of
Andrew Jackson Hamilton, the Govenor of Texas .
In mid-December, Washington contracted what was probably quinsy or acute
laryngtis; he declined rapidly and died at his estate on Dec14, 1799. Even
during his lifetime, Washington loomed large in the national imagination.
1st President of the United States (1789-1797).
Nickname: "Father of His Country".
Political Affiliation: Federalist.
Religious Affiliation: Episcopalian.
He is buried in the family vault in Mount Vernon, VA.

Her marriage to George Washington was childless. She was a warm, gracious,
sensible woman, and acted as hostess for her husband but took no part in public
affairs.
