1840: Big Saline United Baptist Church and Coffee Cemetery, organized by Elder Stephen Stilley, Sr., Sommerset Township, Saline County Illinois, Sect. N.W. 32, TWN. los, RANGE 7E; Located on Chism Estes 160 Acre Homestead of January 11, 1815. Chism Estes and his wife Mary Jordan, are buried in the Joining Coffee Cemetery. In 1847 Elder George B. Keith, was Pastor of Big Saline Church with 25 members.
